Fire Curtains
Accordion Fire Curtains — BÖLDT FC-AC240
Compartmentation Engineered for Complex Geometries

Overview
Folding to Match the Opening, Not the Other Way Around
Engineered to EN 1634-1 / EN 12101-1 · Manufactured in Jaipur
Accordion fire curtains use a multi-fold pleated fabric configuration and segmented head box to deploy across openings that follow curved, stepped, raked or otherwise irregular building lines — geometries that a single flat curtain cannot seal. Profile-matched side guides and a segmented bottom bar allow each fold to track its section of the opening independently while the overall assembly closes as one continuous fire-resistant barrier, rated up to 240 minutes and gravity fail-safe in operation.
How It Works
Multi-Fold Descent
- —Fabric is pre-folded in accordion pleats within a segmented concealed head box
- —On activation, the BÖLDT Fail-Safe Descent releases each segment along its own profile-matched guide path
- —Segments interlock at the fold lines to maintain a continuous fire seal
- —A segmented weighted bottom bar settles into the finished floor profile, including stepped or sloped surfaces
Application
Where This Curtain is Specified
Curved atrium balustrades and mezzanine edges, stepped auditorium and stadium openings, raked roof lines in large-span structures, and any compartment boundary where the architectural geometry rules out a flat fire curtain or a fixed wall.
